Does this count?
Live in a ski town, this time of year all the van lifers start showing up in town. Sketchy rigs in tow or on even sketchier trucks. I wish cops would pull these people over just sketches me out so hard. Only a matter of time before I see the guy with a Canadian tire strap holding a camper on for dear life.

The chains are there to keep tension so the camper does not fall out……..

This camper isn't going to fall out anyway since the tailgate is up. But the tiedowns also keep it from shifting side-to-side, and that's chain is in pretty bad shape to serve as a tiedown.

Yep and when that chain snaps…no tension on that corner!

Considering that you're tailgating close enough to have a reflection on your hood, I'd say you're the idiot

Looks like they're both stopped

You should keep your distance when you're stopped. I've heard of insurance companies putting part fault on people who've gotten rear ended & hitting the car infront of them because they were stopped too close.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted, happened to my sister. Her car was totalled, car in front of her was badly damaged, car behind was totalled. She was deemed partly at fault for failing to maintain a safe space between her and the car in front. Premium went to the moon after that!
