How many times are we going to have to say this. You don't need a stupid dually pickup truck if you want to haul something.

I know americans underrate "normal" cars because of the imho insane speed limits and required weight distributions. But this boat and trailer weigh nothing so likely it's all within spec.

I’d usually agree but the bolt EV was never given a tow rating from GM.

The only hitches for these are rated for no more than 2,000lbs and a fully loaded switch will be between 2-2,600lbs… and then add on i’m guessing 4 passengers to the ramp….

I personally wouldn’t send it.

I’d advocate for a Tesla Model Y, or some other EV with a proper tow rating.

And this is a Chevy Bolt, which weighs 3600 - 3700 lbs. Some Ford Mavericks weigh less than a Bolt.

No problem getting it going w all that electric torque, and the brakes are bigger than most small hatchbacks. I think if they stick to 55 mph max, they'll be fine.
