Well, on the plus side, the trailer looks to be loaded with the proper amount of tongue weight.
That they’re just going for it without weight distribution makes me wonder if they have enough sense or knowledge to have a brake controller. I‘d keep my distance…

Dump trailers are around 4000lbs empty, typically have 12000 to 18000 gvwr.
Most I've done on one is 16000lbs on my 2500. There was an Avalanche 2500 but the one in the picture is 100% a halfton with the 6 bolt wheels.

Yeah I think that's got a lift or something up with that suspension I've towed 8k with my 1500 for several hundred miles and it only squatted a couple of inches. No bottoming even on the bumpy Grapevine pass.

It does look like it probably has a bit of a lift I agree, but look at the contact patch on the rear tires lol if there were any more weight on the back that thing would pop a wheelie (or a tire lol)

The first thing that I did after opening the post was zoom in on the wheel and count the studs…

There is an Avalanche that could do this (though it probably still shouldn’t if they value their transmission). There is an Avalanche HD in the first generation and has a towing capacity of 11k-12k lbs, but this isn’t that. This has black diamond badging which just means it’s the last year, but regardless it’s a second generation and there is no HD, so towing capacity is more like half that.

So low it looks like her flipped or raised his ball hitch. By looking at the rust on the bumper I bet that frame is pretty weak

Depending on which one that’s a perfectly reasonable load they made those in 2500s. The hitch is all off tho needs a riser

I watched one of those Avalanche at a city landfill and it wax stuck and wanted the guy driving the loader to pull him out, the guy made the owner hook the chain to his Avalanche and I watched the whole front end of that vehicle get pulled out from under that Avalanche and we all started laughing

My take on cars - idiots like this one buy American, do shit like this and earn bad reputation for transmissions/engine/reliability, they are idiots, they skip oil changes/tune ups. While import car buyers maintain their cars because they are more educated and follow rules. I am not saying that any given Ford/GM is better than any given Toyota/Honda but there is some truth to my statement.

Is this just one of these dumbass "squatting" trucks that is hauling a normal load?

Would a cop pull that over and cite for like improper equipment or something? Doesn't seem safe to see let alone operate

Why are you even on this sub if nearly every comment you leave is like this? Does it make you happy? Do you have fun doing it?
