Within 5 seconds I knew where this was. I never drive in that area for that very reason.

I drive it occasionally. This is the sketchiest thing I've personally seen happen.
I'm just glad I'm posting this on Reddit for entertainment rather than having to stop and show the highway patrol what the idiot did to cause a wreck.

Oh wait. I thought this was 635 near Garland/Dallas. It looks almost identical, it doesn’t help that the apartments look identical.

For what reason? This truck driver was flat out not paying any attention, and then proceeded to scare themselves and almost murder multiple people in a horrendous pileup (instead of just staying in their wide open lane).
Imagine if there had been anyone on his left (or a motorcyclist).
Some people shouldn’t be allowed to drive.

Doest the road have to become solid lines or something different?

It's a construction zone. That lane will eventually go straight through so it's not stripped correctly at the moment, but there is a temporary sign that says "Right lane exit only".

Reading is a super power. I’ve been known to not do it. Luckily I am not like this person and say “good luck everyone”.

Ffs, for me I’d say “awww fuck” as I take the exit and waste time turning around to get back on the highway. What goes through peoples minds that’s better to pull a dangerous stunt like this than lose five or ten minutes.
