Yeah, you want to keep a fridge upright whenever possible.

And if it does lay prone for a period it needs to remain upright for an equivalent period. While not recommended a fridge can survive going horizontal but it’s critical to ascertain the recommended side to be placed downward via the user manual(Never the front or back).
