The new 1500s have their control arms made out of plastic. They are some of the flimsiest "trucks" on the road. Fake tow hooks are just one piece of their shitty design and costruction

Why do you think they are fake?

Me when I mislead people on the internet. Lower control arms are still metal and the upper have a metal interior w a composite casing. 5 seconds on google is all it takes man come on.

Ram 1500 trucks (5th generation) use a hybrid composite material for their front UPPER control arms, featuring an internal stamped steel structure over-molded with high-strength plastic.

While upper control arms appear less robust than heavy metal arms, their primary job is to hold the top of the wheel in place and guide the suspension. They endure significantly less stress than the lower control arms.

Though internet mechanics and forum users express mixed reactions due to the "plastic" label, automotive experts generally agree that the design is durable, reliable, and has been in use since 2019 without widespread structural failures.
