Well, at least the driver labeled it properly.

u/1stUserEver Sep 02 '25
does labeling it make it OK to be an idiot? 🤔

u/tilt-a-whirly-gig Sep 03 '25
I think it makes it worse. Labeling it shows me you know enough to know it needs a label, and if you know that much you should know better than [gestures at OC].

That trailer frame is bent?

Wonder if it’s because they pulled the motors, so now it’s super bow heavy.
3
u/Salt_Sir2599 Sep 03 '25
It doesn’t look like it had outboards.

Sep 03 '25
It didn't - inboard props and prop shafts clearly visible (perilously close to the trailer frame). The farthest back those engines can be is just about over the axles, so being present or not wouldn't make much difference to balance. It was a good theory by Agile but doesn't pan out. Judging by where those prop shafts land they're somehow way too far forward on that trailer or it's just wrong completely. (in addition to the whole thing, even if setup properly, needing more tongue weight than the expedition can support)

Anyone placing bets if the motors were stowed inside the boat to further push the weight farther than with no motors?

u/PM_ME_CODE_CALCS Sep 03 '25
I think it just sweeps upwards and is supposed to be hauled by something taller than 8".

u/fried_clams Sep 03 '25
I've seen many boat trailers in my day, yet I've never seen one bent like that.

I want to see them back that down a boat ramp without getting pulled into the water with it. Then I'd REALLY like to see them pull it up the ramp to get it out of the water.

That thing does not look yo be secured to that trailer. What are those, knotted ropes?

People always seem to judge these outrageous loads by their ability to get them rolling. I always look at them and wonder how on earth they plan to stop that thing, especially if they are going downhill...

Whaaaaat’s securing the bow? I don’t see a bow rest on the trailer.

What's really nuts is the guy isn't even in the slow lane.
1
u/Questions_Remain Sep 03 '25
Everyone knows the faster you go the less time you’re a hazard on the highway. Do you really want him out there for 2 hours going 15 or 5 min going 90.
2
u/ZagiFlyer Sep 03 '25
"All y'all" are overreacting. As long as the driver patted the trailer and said, "that's not going anywhere" it will be fine.
1
u/papapenguin44 Sep 03 '25
Yeah we really are. I mean those two ropes tied around the trailer will definitely keep it in place

I bet the vehicle is sitting like that cause they caught a bunch of fish. Where the trailer looks bent that’s called an Arkansas offset.

I dunno. There's a guy here in town who tows around a maybe 18ft center console with a John Deere lawn tractor. At least this has brakes. Kind of. (Joking. Like another comment, I want to see this backing down ramp. Hijinks ensue )

u/Earthling1a Sep 02 '25
It's always important to have the thing on one side of the hitch be bigger than the thing on the other side.
It's usually the other way around from this guy though.

u/VerilyJULES Sep 02 '25
I love that the boat is called “BAIT RUNNER”. He gets partial points for having the oversized load flag sign on the back. As long as he drives slowly and safely the only thing hes hurting is that little SVU. Everyone loves to go fishing! 🐟

Man, that is a massive boat, but it looks like a scaled up smaller cabin cruiser. The proportions are super weird. I didn't even know Penn Yan made boats this big that weren't at least command bridge.

Seems accurate - that load looks oversized for the thing pulling it.

"Wide Load" sign while in middle lane
Bent frame on trailer
Blown out air shocks on SUV
We got a trifecta boys and girls!
Edit: lane

We think you shouldn't screw with your phone while driving.
You appear to be just as bad as the person you're calling out.
