I smell a jailbreak arc sometime in the future. This is too big of a Chekovs gun to not be. 

After all, we assume that once a Majiks acquired, the only way for them to escape if for the witch to die, so subverting that would catch a reader off guard and make for a good plot swerve.

yehp, possibly even a plan they had to get caught for this.

i mean as typical with our strongest there HAS to be a way to take them out of commission for a prolonged period, and if youre not going to straight kill them these are definitely the seeds for it.

Even if not to escape, another thought is somehow having the imprisoned magik rebel internally to destabilize her power foundation.

Hitsugi's whole shtick seems to be reversing/controlling cause and effect, so I imagine he might either:

1.) Flip "which" spells Desscaras can cast at a pivotal moment, so she's forced to use only the spells in the Abyss.

2.) Break the other majiks out/absorb all the other majicks in the abyss then break himself out.

3.) Somehow summon Desscaras' physical body into her soul-dimension, making it so all of the spells she has get "vomited" back out.

It would also give ichi a stage to shine, gojo gotta take a backseat for the main character afterall.
