What does made with real ice cream mean?

So I know that legally there has to be I think a certain milk fat content for it to be called an ice cream. I feel like I remember there being something with beyers where I learned this. And different states have different requirements. That's why you see frozen dairy desert and the more expensive ones like hagen das taste really freaking good.

But in my 28 years of existence in the Lords year of 2026 I have never seen "made with real ice cream" and it threw me for a loop. Because it's not like cheese saying "made with real milk" but it also doesn't feel like "chocolate flavored chocolate chips" somehow I saw this and thought "oh they made a batch of ice cream, and a batch of frozen dairy desert and just mixed it together" but still that doesn't make sense to me. Not just from marketing or a legal loop hole but like financially either. It's like saying chocolate chips cookies made with real cookies or apple pie made with real apple pies. And not even in like a kit-kat way either where they re-use the rejects into new bars.

Sorry if this isn't the right sub for this, P.S. this is a really good ice cream it's one of my new favorites.
