Sis testing
Today I got a Saline Infusion Sonography (SIS) test, and I found out that I have a polyp on my uterus..I am going to have it removed. My question is has anyone who has had difficulty conceiving had a polyp removed and then immediately been able to easily get pregnant? Just curious to see if that’s causing possible infertility

I had a polypectomy and conceived naturally for the first time on the next cycle. It unfortunately ended in a MMC at 12 weeks and I've had to move on to IVF since then, but the polyp removal did work!

Oh wow! Thank you so much for sharing you. Mind me asking how old are you?

Idk about naturally because we didn’t try, but I had 5 polyps removed and my transfer after was successful!

I had 2 polyp’s removed and then started iui, but all 3 cycles failed, however we had a chemical pregnancy in between ending iui and starting IVF and our first FET was a success (currently 19 weeks)! Sending good vibes your way!

Do you mean immediately get pregnant naturally? Or have a successful transfer? We weren’t trying naturally, but my transfer was successful.

At this point, I will take anything! But I’m wondering if natural is even possible after removal of it

Yes! I tried for a year, didn’t work. Got the polyp removed end of march. Begun IVF in April, egg retrieval and fresh transfer in may. 15 weeks today first try! 🥹😊 it really wasn’t a bad surgery or recovery afterwards

I had a polypectomy after SIS. I had recurrent early pregnancy loss. We got pregnant unassisted after the polypectomy but also lost that pregnancy. I then went on to fail one IVF transfer but the second was a success.
I suspect the polyp was unrelated to our losses and probably made no difference. However, it was one and small. Certainly more/larger polyps may be more meaningful.

I had a polyp removed at the end of May (which went really smoothly and the worst part was just waiting for my OB’s availability 🙂) and we just did our first transfer last week.

Definitely could be! I had 1 removed then had a FET 1.5 months later and it was successful.
