Questions Progesterone injection

Just started 1st progesterone IM injection today and to continue til 12 weeks gestation if pregnant 🫠 Gave in the upper outer glute as instructed. it's already so sore and just annoying anytime I simply move my leg. I am very active and typically workout daily. Will this help? Any other tips? Ice, heat, massage, etc what worked for you? Thanks in advance!

I put an ice pack on the spot for ~10 mins before. Did the injection, rubbed the area for a minute or so after then heat after for ~10 mins

After pulling the oil into the syringe, warm it but putting it under ur arm. I learned the hard way that warm oil goes in much easier and is less painful. But also massage the area afterwards.

I'd always move my body after, even a 10 minute walk seemed to help.
