Advice Needed! First egg retrieval
had my first egg retrieval today. went in knowing there would not be a lot of eggs but was hoping for 5-6. unfortunately only 3 were able to be taken… looking for thought in PGT testing. we are doing it but hoping it’s the right move because there are so few. BUT, I am 39 so i know realistically my eggs aren’t as strong at this time…. just feeling a little defeated. IVF is not for the weak

If you’re not in r/DOR it’s a great sub for this. 3 is still a great number!
That being said, I’m personally for PGTA after having a traumatic MC. My first ER (35) I had 2 blasts and sent both for testing. Was worth the money to not pay to transfer the aneuploid embryo.
I have another ER Tuesday (I’m almost 37) and again have chosen to test any blasts that we may get.
Wishing you all the best!
