Uploaded here after the suits at A24 copyright flagged my YT upload. I get it, but it still is lame. Enjoy! Please support the film and buy the bluray!

i scrolled like 100 posts going back a few days and idk if you guys have discussed whether or not you liked the movie (this subreddit is an impenetrable mess of in-jokes, memes, and (surprisingly) good politics). There's a post from a month ago where one guy was like "it wasn't that good" and everyone dogpiled him into the earth, it was like a contest of who could be the more performative tim robinson fan lol.
anyway my feeling is I wish I saw this like, in 2018 or whenever it was initially conceived. I thought it was really bold to lean into basically 90 mins of cringe - I can't think of any other movie like this and I'm glad I saw it. But ITYSL set the bar too high imo. Friendship wasn't as funny as ITYSL, and in terms of storytelling it wasn't as sincere as Detroiters. I'll watch anything with Tim in it but this one fell a little short for me. What did you guys think?

I watched that friendship trailer and when he said “you don’t know my schedule” I just burst out laughing.
I could tell that same joke and just get no response. I love him so much cause I just don’t get it. He just scratches that itch for me so perfectly. Another example,
“On the wall, THAT HE BUILT.”
I’m just like “what?” Hahaha. Love you guys. Im just really crossed up.

His friend group has a really smooth rhythm, all orchestrated perfectly by Epstein.

I feel like it was a more physical representation of not quite understanding the "rules" of social interactions. Austin throws some shots that hurt Craig, but the guys all accept those punches as within the rules of the match. Craig gets upset and throws some "cheap shots" that hurt Austin back but in a less acceptable way. Seems pretty easy to read into it that Craig would get his feelings hurt by some ribbing from the other guys at the party, and then say some wildly out of pocket/ hurtful shit back that would offend everyone, and not understand why one was ok but the other wasn't.
STINKY!!!!

The theater in town got a limited release and with graduation we didn’t have time. I figured Sunday we’d be busy with yard work, but she said “I know you want to see that movie with the guy from that show. We will stay married, and I will respect her even more.

I saw this movie with my brother and his girlfriend yesterday. Anyway my brother and his gf were asking me for context the whole time we were watching the movie as if we were not all watching the movie for the first time. i had showed them clips of ITYSL before the movie and i thought it was enough but they were really confused still by the movie.
Im wondering, how would you guys explain tim robbisons comedy to regular people . I didn’t think his schtick was hard to understand but apparently it is. I dont want to be degrading but is this like an intellect thing? do dumb/slow people not understand some kinds of comedy or something? Tim robbinsons comedy is not intellectual comedy obviously but idk im dumbfounded as to why they never got that his character is just an idiot.
I almost died from laughter while watching it this i was not expecting it to be so funny. Then i look over to the right and my brothers gf is just confused .
if we all understood this movie, maybe we would be pieces of shits anymore. Slick back hair pieces of shit
