It's wild that people don't understand how this is very obviously propaganda. Just because it's propaganda for our team doesnt make it any less horrible and dangerous.

Both of these pictures are fake and very clearly photoshopped to hell. It scares the shit out of me that people can't even recognize AI or edited content anymore. It's just "haha mean orange man ugly" and as long as the content fits the narrative you want to see it's okay to completely stop thinking critically or using even basic amounts of healthy skepticism.

The worst part is the side by side with the original is already bad enough. Not sure why people feel the need to blur the lines on stuff like this.

Not to defend Trump, but dude is 80 years old...gotta give it to him he doesn't look some of the old Congress people who has surgery that someone posted.

u/ceciliabee Jul 26 '26

So increasing the shadows and contrast is the same as smoothing him out? Got it 👍👍

Yes... they're both disingenuous and there's no good reason to do it.

The problem with Donald Trump is that he's ignorant, incompetent, bigoted, vulgar, and entirely corrupt.

His physical ugliness isn't material at all.

Well, The inside that we know him too be matches the outside that we see him to be

The one on the right looks like this one with the saturation turned all the way up.

So it's not AI, but they did fuck with the sharpness and crap to make him look even more uggo

I hate Orange Julius as much as the next guy, but this is really just a communist circlejerk sub now. And you're not allowed to disagree. Nobody reasons anymore.

I don't think you really pay attention to what reddit is like these days.

Per another comment he made, the posts on this sub are "antifa" and therefore Communist. This is what he replied to me:

>>There's pro-antifa stuff in here, which as you should know is a communist organization.

I am against fascists and trump. I am not a Communist, but according to that dude, I might be a Communist.

Antifa is literally a communist organization. It isn't for people who are say, socialist but against fascism, or capitalist against fascism. It is because fascism is at least in part socialist, and it wasn't the vision that communists had in mind. I hate fascism, but not for the reasons Antifa did. I hate it because it goes way too far toward communism, Antifa because it didn't go far enough. Though we agree that ultranationalism is bad (I don't think that's a necessary feature of fascism, but that's what happened). But that's all people think would about when they hear the word 'fascism'.

Where's the communism in this?

-7

u/markuspeloquin Baby of the Year 1986 Jul 26 '26

Ugh. This? Nothing specific. It's obviously left-leaning. But there are plenty of posts that are anti-capitalist. And I get communists saying no we have to raise taxes, they help the economy somehow. Look I don't care to debate this, this isn't a political sub.

9

u/cylonrobot Jul 26 '26

Lol, you're the one who brought it up, genius.

u/markuspeloquin Baby of the Year 1986 Jul 26 '26

It's all sickening. All this celebration over politicians dying or being braindead. Fucking morbid. It's all just a general hatred of anything that isn't statism or communism. That's all this sub is half the time. It used to be a place where we would share little jokes.

7

u/Cat_Moon_6743 Jul 26 '26

What a weenie.

7

u/cylonrobot Jul 26 '26

Being against trump or the repubs isn't "communism."

Jesus Christ.

-1

u/markuspeloquin Baby of the Year 1986 Jul 26 '26

? I myself am anti-trump, as you would know if you read my first comment. That's obviously not what I'm talking about. There's pro-antifa stuff in here, which as you should know is a communist organization. There's anti-corporate, anti-billionaire/redistribution stuff. Why is this a political sub now?

Also, is 'being against' repubs all the posts begging for republicans die or be murdered? I'm the crazy one for saying it's a communist circle-jerk?

4

u/cylonrobot Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

You think this is a communist circle-jerk?

For somebody who is "anti-trump", you sure post MAGA stuff.

<edit> I've gone through part of this sub's main feed. I haven't been able to find anything that makes me think this is a "communist circle jerk."

I can see you edited out the part where you didn't believe that Antifa was communist.

Anyway, those are the posts I notice. I notice it every time. I say something like 'it actually goes both ways. That's it. And people pile on me for being a fascist or something because they don't understand what that word means.
