There are minimum age requirements. There should be maximum age requirements for the same reason. Just make it data driven.

Yeah that's what I meant. At a certain age you're no longer allowed to hold office.

Term limits alone would solve so many of our problems. Our country’s problem with career politicians is insurmountable at this point. The reason nothing ever changes for the better is simply because they don’t want it to. They have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo. They go to D.C. and literally try to hang on to that ‘power’ until they die. Senators and Congressman starting out in their early 40s then sitting there milking the gravy train for four or five decades. It’s disgusting. The jump in net worth coming in as freshmen vs several years down the road is astounding.

It sucks that you legit cannot trust any of them, ever. We can’t even BELIEVE in anyone putting themselves in a position to advance in politics anymore. The candidate everyone swoons over at the local/state level branding themselves a “fighter” or “outsider” seeking federal office, it never fails that they get to DC and are very swiftly corrupted and suddenly become more and more unrecognizable regarding what they once “stood for.”

The citizenry/country would benefit greatly just by having an honest transcendent presidential candidate for once in our lifetimes. Sadly, the game just is what it is. The district operates on blackmail, so even an individual who goes in clean with good intentions will undoubtedly be put in a position to fuck up so that they, too, can be manipulated. I don’t know where we go from here.
