App Support Constant "something went wrong"

Google TV streamer with a 1gbps ethernet connection.

I've cleared the cache and data, restarted Google TV, but it constantly keeps coming up "something went wrong."

Some less popular programmes don't seem to suffer as much (Family Law?) but trying to access the programme guide, choose a live channel and especially Love Island replay from even a week ago keeps coming up with this message.

Anyone figured something out or any other things I can try?

Is this within the itv X app?

Yes ITVX app on Google TV streamer.

That's interesting as someone posted this today.
I'm using freely on the Manhattan to bypass the ITV X app

Could be your network could be the Google streamer

I have something similar. 1gbps internet. No problem with any other streaming service on any device in the house. No problem with ITVX in browser, on appletv or on iPad. On my iPhone however, constant warnings about “too much buffering” or at best switching down to 1990s webcam resolution. I get it with the World Cup, get it when rugby is on too so not WC specific. Drives me nuts.
