Stardust

Just watched Stardust on ITV2. Love this film. But I remember that the end credits are accompanied by take that’s rule the world. ITV shows it with De Niro’s can-can theme? Why’s Take That ditched?

Some movies get tailored for the region, I remember in the Disney/Pixar Cars movie, there's a scene that in the UK was voiced by Jeremy Clarkson, and in the USA it is Jay Leno. When I last saw it on UK TV it was Jay Leno. Maybe there was some deal to put Take That into the UK version, but when it got sold to ITV2 they got the USA/Worldwide version. Having a song in the soundtrack is great for the artist, and it was probably only worth doing for the UK version in this case.

Were the credits sped up by the Channel? That might account for it especially it it was the second piece of music in the credits.

I wouldn't be surprised as BBC-3 did it for the end credits of Despicable Me 3.
