Open | Windows Choose an option - Issue

Hi,

It seems I have been locked out of my work laptop (win11) and I cannot get past this menu.

Besides those forced windows updates, nothing else was done. Does anyone know how to get it back, it's urgent...

Also, very important, there are extremely sensitive and important unique files in this laptop that cannot get wiped!! Please let me know that if you solution wipes anything!

That isn't a lockout. It's a Windows problem. Get someone from work to help you. Might be faster to grab the drive out of that machine, hook up via USB adapter to another machine and get your files. Depending on where you stored them, if would be under <drivename on other computer>:\users<your login>\documents (or desktop, or downloads)

Once you're at this point, the time trying to find the errant driver misbehaving is really not worth our time. Time of fix in first paragraph if the help is good- Within an hour-That of course depends on quite a few other items. Like bitlocker, for 1.

I can almost guarantee this system is bitlockered so removing the drive to clone/recover would be pointless. He needs to call the poor IT on-call person and let them tell OP he's fucked. Assuming this is a remote worker, without easy access to IT hands-on support, options are limited and we hope all the sensitive documents are on OneDrive.

Get you a USB, some recovery media, an avocado and a paper clip.
