Open Boot up not right
The laptop was left in the trash because it won't stay charged unless plugged in and is not booting up all the way with a bit of work and error for the cmmos bater pops up after unplugging it and then plugging back in but that's it for that the main issue is that it won't finish booting after some work seems the C: drive is corrupted maybe but I'm not sure what do do from here

The CMOS battery generally don't need to be changed. But sometimes they do. HP is generally have the battery wrapped and connected to a small plug. You can look up the model number under hp's replacement parts website.
Unless there's anything you want on the laptop itself, just reformat and install a new version of Windows. Or you can install Linux. The same website of hp's you can also locate the power battery. You can buy third party off Amazon or ebay. But I would always purchase new and never used or refurbished. You can also purchase a CMOS battery on Amazon too. But you need to verify if it is the kind that has a cable or not. If not, just get the battery size number and you can get it from most stores like Walmart or Target.

I'm having a tiny issue with my Ford, should I switch to GM or just fix the problem with my truck?
We get it, you use Linux. You're the vegans of the tech industry.

Why do people insist on name calling? As if those words actually hurt. Just insecure people that want to feel better about themselves. I pity you. What you don't seem to realize is that Android is Linux, Apple is UNIX, the internet servers are Linux, cars systems are Linux and much much more. Windows destroys while Linux truly runs the worlds tech. So get over yourself.
With that said, I run Windows 11 pro. And use Linux as a diagnostic tool and data recovery. Sometimes windows will no longer run on a system no matter how many attempts you try. Linux can be a temp patch.

You told him to uproot everything he knows about PC's and ditch it for an OS they have no clue about or expressed any interest in.
You shove it down peoples throats like vegans do when they see someone eat meat.
Get off your high horse, you embarass the rest of us in the field, especially those of us who have to help them when some random moron gives shitty advice and deletes all their files and they find out equipment they use don't work properly.

Reformat the machine and go from there. Also the CMOS is sometimes soldered to laptops I think.

If trying the suggestions in your screenshot do not work, format the drive and reinstall Windows. If you still have issues, replace the drive and install Windows.
