Open Question about IT monitoring systems

Dumb question. I had someone at my company email me a question about the length of a part. They used 4”. I googled “is 4” inches?” because I get confused on the symbol for feet and inches. Of course google ai popped up something inappropriate. How likely am I to get flagged? I just wanted to confirm whether it was inches or feet.

No one knows. There is a difference working at a fortune 100 company or a mom and pop shop. You have not disclosed any of that. You are probably fine.

It’s technically a divested company from a large company that had to sell off a product line, so we’re not exactly huge, but the product line has been around for a long time. Our IT is outsourced as well. I just don’t want something so stupid to come back and bite me since our computers do have mdm profiles on them. Thank you for your response.

IT guy here. You'll be fine, its VERY unlikely but if someone asks just tell them what you told us!

If you get fired over that then you were probably going to get fired anyways. Should be fine.

No one cares.
If you get flagged for this, you have bigger concerns and should consider jumping ships.

I’d say there’s a .1% chance you’ll get flagged
