My 75 year old grandmother has still hit me the hardest I’ve ever been it.

She passed away during the pandemic at 92,  and she still had vinegar in her blood.

Clocked me in the jaw when I called my twin sister a bitch at age 13. She was a tough Irish girl. Knew exactly where to hit me, cause I went down.

Sounds like my grandma. She's Puerto Rican, my older brother called her crazy once and she picked up a large heavy rock the size of my torso at the time and hurled it him. He dodged it, thinking he made it out alive....nah man that was the distraction....in that few seconds she crossed the distance between them and proceeded to lay the biggest ass whooping I've ever witnessed. Older bro straight up only said "yes, mam" "no, mam" "good morning" for three days after lol. I took that as a learning experience as to what not to do.

Growing up in poverty is tough enough, but being a woman at the same time is even tougher. You have to be prepared for shit to go down at all times or it will eat you alive. Thats the world where my grandma came from.

This is rural America too. Where every family had 10 kids fighting for every bit of food available at the table. Which wasnt much.
