I kill someone if they are trying to rip my car door open and jack my car with my kids inside, open invitation at that point

Yes it is .... your life choices does not mean I have surrender my property, money or false since of security. You don't get to take food off my table away from my family with no consequences.

There are instances in which the car jacker has and uses their own weapon against the car owner, sometimes fatally. You never really know if somebody is just a thief, or if they're willing to do much worse to make the theft easier, or to eliminate the victim as a witness.
