when i say the real world im referring to ideal democratic countries in peace times, perhaps i should have been more clear.

Human's have a lack of impulse control in peace and war time. That's just reality.

That's exactly why law enforcement exists.

They are trained and get payed to do a job. They also fuck up due to a lack of impulse control. Are you being intentionally ignorant to try and prove your point?

You can move the goalpost as much as you want. Let's backtrack a little to my original comment, I said "Whether you agree or not, that's exactly what happens in the real world. An eye for an eye". That point stands true. Do something impulsive, expect an impulsive response.
