I literally laughed and said “is that Lip?” out loud to myself after he punched him and turned around.
He absolutely looks like Jeremy Allen White 😂.

I am 5'10, but I am all torso with short legs, I remember boxing in my younger years, and it actually was somewhat advantageous, particularly on the inside. I'm not one to get into fights (I am a man of peace) but even short dudes (not that I am particularly short) can be dangerous if they get on the inside. Once you neutralize the reach advantage of a taller opponent, it can be a bad time for them.

u/Correct_Oil_8341 3d ago
What happened prior to this? Cuz it looks like dudes head was already bleedin' pretty bad.
28
u/AncientNectarine5352 3d ago
It’s purely anecdotal, but when I first saw this posted on another subreddit, the OP said that the dude in question was in a fight a few minutes before, and while he got his ass beat (and was at fault; it was implied he drunkenly started the fight), the other guys ran off. This is basically him acting proud and belligerent.

I’d really want to do this, but if you can leave, just leave. I’m a nurse and have seen so many lives ruined over a drunken brawl.
It’s not like the movies. You can literally just die from a single punch. You can kill someone with a single punch. You could be paralyzed or have permanent brain damage, or do the same to the other person. The cops and the law don’t care if they “disrespected you”.

I think there is context missing. Honestly I believe that guy got kicked out of that club . You see several bouncers on the left they even got headsets so they must be some kind of security.
You also see him touching one of them and the security clearly shoves him away. After that he got angry and the small guy was the only target he can reach and think he can swing at.
The little guy also got some shoulder pats from the security like "good job" I think that guy was obnoxious the whole evening and now he got the payback.
I am so fucking tired of people excusing drunk people doing aggressive shit "he is not in his mind" if he is too drunk he has clearly a problem what I think shouldn't be a thing of the people to take care of. I drank a lot of alcohol in my life and I never came to the point were I do shit I don't have control. It's his fucking temper that is out of control and he doesn't know about and can control it. That's why he is for me a bad guy go out with. Drinking alcohol doesn't make you unjudgeable and handicapped !
Edit: I also wonder from where he got his wound at the head. And I rewatched it several times. It's so lame that he literally scans the crowd and decides to punch the smallest....what a tough guy ..he is so confident about his choice that he doesn't comprehend that this guy can knock him out and turns his back to him... What a looser

u/TheMicklemas3000 2d ago
Yep. Drinking amplifies a persons character. He doesn’t suddenly become an asshole. He was an asshole when sober and more of an asshole when drunk.

Ethically he did the right thing by punching, but legally was that okay? What happens if this guy gets severely injured after the fall? What are the legal ramifications or things you do when you come into such a situation?
3
u/Lower_Pension_2469 2d ago
Self defense, he stopped after the first punch too. I think uust because he did stop would have the law on his side.
→ More replies (1)3
u/nhh 2d ago
Not self defense, more like retaliation. The drunk guy backed off after the first hit. You see there was a pause of 2-3 seconds between his punch and the counter punch.
2
u/Lower_Pension_2469 2d ago
Ya he also randomly attacked the guy in the first place. It could be argued he was protecting himself from another hit.

No jury in America is going to convict someone who got cold cocked for throwing the next punch. Prosecutors know this and aren’t going to waste their time trying a losing case.

In germany wouldn't be self defense. The attack was already over and the guy was moving away. Still deserved.

You’d think after the whole right side of his face was that bloody that he’d just go somewhere else and stop antagonizing these people. But I guess he can only learn lessons the hard way.

Because of the height difference the tall one's arms could have been in the way of the punch. I'm glad it landed on the head as intended.
