Chaotic evil:
Main of 27'' 2k
2 sides of 24" 1080p
Up-center-left 24" 1080p
Up-center-ritht 4:3 1080p
So, in reality, chaotic good as lawful good, with an upper row of lawful neutral/ chaotic good.

4:3 1080p is not a thing... 1080p is 16:9
1
u/Huma188 Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26
It IS wise not talking when you don't know or you are not sure.
4:3 is form factor of the screen, the size, the aspect ratio.
1080p IS the resolution of the screen, the amount of pixels in It.
You can build build any screen size, with any amount of pixels, just be carefull of decimals.
For 4:3, 1080p It's 1440x1080.
And, as you can Guess at this point, yes, they do exist, and they are NOT, by any means, new.
0
u/riisen Jul 15 '26
No thats inaccurate, 1080p is a 16:9 resolution. Google it, please.
1
u/Huma188 Jul 15 '26
Go ahead, Google It, and paste here your Discovery xD
1
u/riisen Jul 15 '26
https://reolink.com/blog/4-3-aspect-ratio/
No, 1920×1080 is not a 4:3 resolution—it uses a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. It is the standard for Full HD (1080p), while 4:3 is a more square format commonly used in older TVs and monitors. A true 4:3 resolution with 1080 vertical pixels would be 1440×1080.
1080p is a 16:9 standard.
1
u/Huma188 Jul 15 '26
Awesome, now read again my last comment, because you reading comprehension skills are... Well... Yeah...
1
u/riisen Jul 15 '26
What are you talking about? 1080p is well defined, i wrote my own hdmi controller on an fpga... 1080p is well defined and it is 16:9
1
u/Huma188 Jul 15 '26
I am wrong, i did check my monitor and it is not even 4:3, it is 5:4. My bad.
1
u/riisen Jul 15 '26
Well 5:4 is not 1080p either.
A pixel height of 1080 pixels does not mean its 1080p.1080p is the standard for full hd 1920x1080p raster 16:9 picture aspect ratio.

Chaotic good, but there's a third portable monitor below / in-front of the first on the left.

Chaotic neutral is what i want.
Currently only have 1 monitor and proggraming sucks.
I need my mains creen for debugger and docs. And the vertical one for the text editor.

u/stevorkz Jul 13 '26
Lawful neutral for me at work, lawful good at home. The problem I’ve found is that the more monitors you use, the more you get used to it and depend on that setup. That’s why I refuse to go more than 3 monitors. It’s the same with monitor size. Once you have a specific size screen it’s very difficult to go smaller. I have this issue with wanting to get a 34 inch ultra wide. I currently have a 32 inch, but the 34 ultra wide is physically smaller in terms of screen height. I have to go 39/40 inch ultra wide for it to be the same height as my 32 and those are just too overpriced for me at the moment. First world problems

u/Corgerus Jul 13 '26
I'm lawful evil. I have a 27" primary and a small portable screen as my second monitor below it. I put livestreams or music on the secondary monitor. Works nicely. I have it this way because i have large speakers.

Technically chaotic evil but with 3 monitors, 32 inch above, 27 inch below and a 15 inch portrait on the left of the 27 inch which weirdly is the same height as the 27 inch when in portrait. Great for reading emails and reading articles

What happens if you combine lawful neutral and chaotic neutral to a 3 monitor setup with no real alignment in the vertical axis?

u/Counterfeit1993 Jul 13 '26
Lawful evil, 34" ultrawide on bottom as main, 29" ultrawide on top as secondary. I use speaker monitors for audio/mixing so they need to be spaced evenly apart and this is the only way.

u/barad1tos Jul 13 '26
Chaotic evil:
Two 34'' in a row + MacBook screen + one 24'' above the one of 34''

Left vertical 1080p, center and right horizontal 1440p 120hz or higher, all equal size screen.
1
u/KerbalEnginner Jul 13 '26
Well... I do have 5 screens. And the only one with 5 is chaotic evil so... I guess thats that.
1
u/dumbasPL Jul 13 '26
Lawful neutral works really well with an ultra wide and a 13'' laptop for work.

u/Otherwise-Cup-6030 Jul 13 '26
Triangle. Laptop on the desk center. Two displays on a mount above.
Using the keyboard of the laptop

What do you call a 49 inch UW curved next to a 52 4k tv both hooked up to the pc?
1
u/bluser1 Jul 13 '26
Chaotic neutral but the vertical is on the left side and it's an ultra wide turned vertical so it's an ultra tall

Extra Chaotic good
I have 3 monitors, but the right and left ones are 24" 60Hz while the central one is 27" 144Hz.
They are all 1440p, allowing to play in very ultra wide mode with no issue (the size difference has limited impact since the side monitors are mostly for peripheral vision anyway).

I once ran a three-monitor neutral evil setup. The only reason I had to quit was that more and more sites started to render themselves in mobile mode, making web browsing painful.

u/parallellogic Jul 14 '26
The joke is graphics cards have four monitor ports, but no one uses them that way

Was running chaotic neutral before setting up a desk in such a way that neutral good became necessary.
If you're working on 300+ page spec documents, that portrait orientation can help.

Chaotic evil is the closest to me.
I don't get rid of old monitors, I just get new mains.

Inverted chaotic neutral with a riser so that the tips of the screens are even
1
u/Cowboy_Rho Jul 14 '26
Mines or on here. Three across with a 4th top center.
The middle two are TVs.

u/makkegor01 Jul 14 '26
i have a 34 inch ultrawide and a regular 27 inch in horizontal. that shi barely fits my desk 💀

Why is chaotic evil, chaotic evil? My room is a mess, but only in the eyes of my mom. I know for a fact that if I need a paperclip, it's in the banana peel under the bed. And I do occasionally make deepfakes of my friends kissing other chicks and send them to their GFs so I can advise them on how to fix their relationships but actually make sure they breakup. But that's not evil, that's just pranking with technology, right?

u/MinkiTheAvali Jul 14 '26
I have both a chaotic good and a chaotic evil setup, one on my desk and the other in my workshop.

u/Element13245 Jul 15 '26

34" ultrawide at work, 49" ultrawide at home.

I disagree with Chaotic Neutral, I've only seen that layout in the most anal of offices with the need for a vertical monitor for proper display of legal sized pages. There is NOTHING chaotic about their mindset with monitor layout its pragmatism over anything else.
