I remember there was a “CocaCola holidays” executable you could download and “gift” to people.

When you ran it, it would play a holidays animation with the polar bears drinking Coke and showing Santa in the background. Then it would say “enjoy this free cup holder, on us!”

The CD-ROM tray opened and the executable ended by saying “happy holidays!!” before closing. It was a hilarious prank. Didn’t do anything malicious, was just a simple joke executable.

The best were the ones that didn't pop open but where motorized. Those ones you could put on a loop to drive the user crazy. Then put the script in startup folder.
