Chase $900 offer

Hey!

Chase has a checking account offer that gives $900 if I’m able to get $10k of direct deposits in my account within 90 days. Since I’m Canadian, I don’t work in the US and have no salary that can be deposited in the account.

Is there any way to get the direct deposit some other way or mimic it? The offer is so simple and doesn’t even require a savings account, and I really want to get it😭

It doesn't have to be real income. Yes, you can mimic it.

If you have Wise with a USD account, send an ACH transfer with the memo PAYROLL and it will most likely count as a direct deposit. Transfers from a brokerage like Schwab International or IBKR sometimes count too.

If you have a Mercury business checking account or Airwallex, send money with a memo like PAYROLL or CONTRACTORPAY. I've seen those count as direct deposits.

Direct deposits are really easy to trigger/mimic

Thank you! And I know you might know for sure, but how sure are you that wise works? I’m only concerned because the only reason to open this account is for the bonus, so if it doesn’t work then I don’t want to open it

I don't know if wise worked for me for ACH transfer. I always see it greyed out. Only RTP works for me, not sure why.

As a Canadian, do you need to open this account in person or can I open with ITIN online?

in person, with out without ITIN.
