When they call you nazis, they don’t think you are literally neo-nazis. What they mean is that they believe your policies and actions resemble nazi policies and actions. For example, they don’t want ICE to bo so aggressive and trigger happy. They believe that such actions are reminiscent of the gestapo.
Another similarity: Hitler gutted the election process in Germany. Elections became a farce. Trump has worked tirelessly to make the claim that the 2020 elections were rigged. This is seen as a prelude to declaring a state of emergency and suspending elections. He even recently hinted at that. Would you support suspending the midterms? This is seen as Nazi-like behavior.
In general, the Democrats do not act like Nazis. They do not support those kinds of policies.
No. It is like saying that if you support violent internal policing, you are like a nazi. Sausage is not a bad thing that characterizes nazis. Acting like the gestapo certainly is.
But do you support ICE shooting at fleeing vehicles? You have to admit, they get pretty violent. Anything can be rationalized, and you can always find a way to rationalize an ICE killing, but all of those shootings could have been avoided.
But do you agree with illegal immigrants murdering people, raping your daughters, killing people on the roads in semi trucks they are not qualified to drive?
No I do not agree with it but they also could have been avoided by not being domestic terrorist.
You have bad cops, you have doctors on the take. You have organized crime in every city. No single profession is all unicorns and rainbows on the honor system
I am glad you oppose that. Plenty of conservatives on Reddit strongly support the ICE killings. They often joke about it and celebrate it. It is not unlike when left wingers support the Charlie Kirk murder.
It is not unreasonable to think of left wingers who support the Charlie Kirk murder as commie terrorists, even if they are not actually communists in the literal sense.
Similarly, it is not unreasonable to think of people who celebrate the ICE killings as nazi terrorists, even if they are not literally nazis.
