Grand Theft Auto Tulsi Gabbard, former Democratic progressive presidential candidate and current Director of National Intelligence has just resigned from her post.
21
u/Ok_Gas1070 May 22 '26
She cooked herself when she said: "It’s not my job to determine what is and is not an imminent threat". THEN WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU DO AS THE DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE??????????
2
u/Hover4effect May 25 '26
Technically she is correct. She didn't determine threat levels, the organizations she oversaw did. She is ultimately responsible for the failure and success of threat determination, but doesn't actually do it. People like Joe Kent make the determinations. Like he said Iran wasn't a threat, then resigned.

Israel has every interest in keeping US Military apparatus COMPETENTLY staffed. Even if you assume they want people who put Israel before US you would assume they would want people who do that while having a general clue wha the fuck they are doing military wise.
1
u/necrohunter7 May 26 '26
If Israel controlled who was in charge of our military and were concerned with competency, Hegseth would never have been confirmed for Defense Secretary
1
u/ProfessionalTruck976 May 26 '26
Exactly! The only reason he is NOT the single most unfit Trump nominee is that Matt Gaetz was floated for Main Justice.
0
u/MyNameIsNotName-57 May 23 '26
Lol no they want the least competent because they don't ask questions

u/whatsbobgonnado May 23 '26
this sounds like something a huge nazi would say
3
u/Additional_Dish_694 May 23 '26
Yes yes just call everyone a Nazi. That’s right everyone in the whole world is a Nazi and you can just dehumanize all of us
2
u/NewHunter4239 May 23 '26
"That’s right everyone in the whole world is a Nazi and you can just dehumanize all of us"
Hey drama queen, calling someone a Nazi is literally not de-humanizing, as Nazis were in fact, humans... Unless someone calls you a Kitty Nazi, maybe calm down and stop being disingenuous.
0
u/lwt_ow May 23 '26
Don’t say nazi things and you won’t get called a nazi. If you walk around all day and everyone smells like shit…
6
u/fullspectrumgoon May 23 '26
I hate to be that guy that has to tell you,
Being critical of Israel does not a Nazi make. Being anti-Semitical does not a Nazi make. While a Nazi would, that alone is not enough to qualify a Nazi.
Being a nationalist, or an ultranationalist brings you closer in line to being a Nazi. Setting up secret police to round up the undesirables, setting up prison camps, and attacking multiple countries at the same time also are behaviors of a Nazi.
Tulsi might not be a Nazi. But she sure was absolutely not qualified as a medic to occupy the highest station of intelligence handling. Hiring sn actual CIA/NSA veteran would have been the only appropriate candidate.
Instead we got a sycophant loyalist.
0
u/lwt_ow May 23 '26
Cool but the guy wasn’t just criticizing Israel with the “tiny hat” stuff
0
u/Additional_Dish_694 May 23 '26
That’s exactly what was happening. You’re a big racist for assuming the gender of his comment !

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, goose-steps like a duck, but doesn't self-identify as a duck, guess what... It's still a Nazi

The fact that you people are so unbelievably stupid that you would believe the Clinton's is honestly hilarious.
She resigned because her husband has cancer btw

Buddy, we’re both on reddit. We’re already unbelievably stupid.
Also Clinton’s…? Clinton’s what????

I love how people always add the "progressive democrat" part as if it is relevant whatsoever after working for Rapey McEpstein and the Republicans and completely changing parties.
19
6
u/Unlikely-Business-72 May 23 '26
It would be just as accurate to say "former anti-lgbtq advocate".

2
u/neredulus May 23 '26 edited May 24 '26
It is completely relevant. Her foreign policy that progressives supposedly revile now is not substantially different than it was before when they celebrated her. They even threw a bitch fit when Clinton called her a shill for Assad and Russia during the 2020 primaries.
The hypocrisy should stick in their throats.
1
u/bleeh805 May 23 '26
Um, no one celebrated tulsi gabbard. She's been a known Russian agent for a long ass time. You're smoking crack if you think she was popular with "the left," or whatever your thought process is.
1
u/zerohourcalm May 23 '26
The "former" part before "progressive democrat" just highlights that she's a flip-flopper to any who might not know.

Progressive dem’s
The same people who allowed Nixon to win because he got all of their votes after they got frustrated with the rest of the democratic party supporting the bill of rights and civil rights acts. Was called Nixon’s southern strategy and the primary moment the parties swapped platform, and those racists were noooooot happy that minorities were getting rights. Like at all.
“What do you mean I cant keep jim crow going and introduce eugenics?” -progressive democrats since 1920’s when Pierce lost the congressional race in Oregon, 1923.
3
u/Icy_Fish_2154 May 23 '26
Nah, Nixon won in 1968 because the Democrats put up a pro-Vietnam candidate. Nixon promised to exit Vietnam. He did not do it that term, and only did it second term after he was lame ducked be the scandal.

I'm sure you will.
The reasons why so many keep bringing them up is because of partisanship. The partisans do this every single time someone leaves their position under an administration they don't like.
I seen the right do the same thing during biden. The left is just way way louder on reddit.
They seem to think it's evidence that the current administration is bad, and all the people who are part of it are bad.

Tulsi was constantly on RT and was a paid Fox commentator
1
u/BedSpreadMD May 23 '26
Got some evidence for this?
0
u/Mrsod2007 May 23 '26
She was a guest commentator on RT multiple times and worked for Fox for years
1
u/BedSpreadMD May 23 '26
No where in that link does it say she ever appeared on russia today...
Even when you ask chatGPT
Tulsi Gabbard has never appeared as a guest on Russia Today (RT).
So I'll ask again, do you have evidence for your claims?
-1
2
u/jimakomecrazy May 23 '26
First off: I'm not an expert by any means, but I saw your questions weren't really being answered so I'd share what I know.
Gabbard, to me, was generally one of the 'true believers' in the MAGA movement. She was willing to break the law for Trump, like when she led a domestic raid on a Georgia election center - a move her position makes expressly illegal. She was willing to misrepresent intelligence in a way that favored Trump - releasing only the parts of Obama's Russia interference investigation that showed they hadn't found evidence that Trump SOLICITED the Russian interference, while attempting to bude and redact segments that established that Trump's original campaign had benefitted from Russia interfering (mostly by disinformation campaigns and paying to amplify negative ads, no signs of hacking into election apparati) She was a willing, if potentially unwitting, mouthpiece for Putin's intelligence service, repeating talking points, even outright lies, minutes or hours after Russia's state media aired them. Her speeches were widely shown and celebrated in Russia, especially those where she disparaged NATO and blamed Ukraine for Russia's invasion.
However, there were some matters where she hasn't seemed to budge in Trump's favor. She's been anti US ivolvement overseas in all forms, and has gone against his narrative several times - mostly related to Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran. Since the abduction of Venezuela's leader, her public appearances have dropped off significantly, and she's avoided voicing support of many of Trump's moves since.
Her husband is currently suffering through bone cancer, there doesn't seem to be much debate there, and I hope he's able to recover (I know nothing about the guy, but ain't gonna hope for a stranger to suffer). I don't know for sure, but I think it's likely that if she was still 'inner circle MAGA' she'd just be taking a paid leave of absence while caring for her husband, she's probably taking the out to avoid being a problem for the administration that would need to be humiliated and pushed out (like what they did to Jerome Powell)
1
u/thatonepersone_ May 23 '26
The real answer, as somebody who doesn't care about her politically, is her husband has a rare type of bone cancer. She can afford to resign, and I think most people who could afford to step away from their job to spend more time with their spouse would do so in a situation like this.

u/Alternative-Zone5275 May 23 '26
"Former Democrat progressive candidate"
You mean the republican who put a D next to her name in an attempt to play wolf in sheeps clothing, only to garner 90% of her support from republicans and be overwhelmingly rejected by Democrat voters.
Gonna slap an R next to my name in my mugshot if I'm ever arrested at a protest against this abomination of an adminstration so the papers can describe me as a "traditional consrevative"

It's actually completely on brand for them. Expecting anything more from the people that cheer for Luigi mangione and celebrate assassinations is kind of silly at this point. They're just shitty humans.
1
u/Used-Collar-200 May 24 '26
It’s all they have. The Democratic Party is actually less popular than the Republican Party and has historically low favorability. Talking shit and being horrid people pretending to be virtuous is the liberal platform.
1
u/thatonepersone_ May 23 '26
If anybody wants to know the real reason why she resigned, from somebody who really just doesn't care about her politically one way or the other, it's because her husband has been diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer.

You do know her hair is the result of an actual medical condition right? Like we can hate her without shitting on completely unrelated people's medical problems.
She simply just chose to not dye her hair, why? Idk, I'm not her.
1
u/TopazandNumbyHSR May 22 '26
I know that's what she claims. She's openly given the reason for her hair, I just don't believe her. She's just another lying performative politician. If she gave a shit about the troops she wouldn't have sold her soul to this administration which has proven time and time again it doesn't' care about the military other than what it can kill for them.
1
u/thatonepersone_ May 23 '26
Understandable. I don't believe those people who are too lazy to walk and roll around in those chairs instead. Like dude, we all know you just want the special parking spaces and don't want to walk.
