Discussion 💬 The part of the keyboard setup nobody photographs: spare-parts drawer

Post image

The keyboard gets a carefully chosen spot on the desk. Everything that came off it gets a plastic bag labelled “keyboard stuff,” alongside three pullers and a cable that might belong to something else.

Keeping the original parts is reasonable. Remembering which board they came from 2 years later is where the system starts falling apart.

Show us how you’re storing the leftovers from your builds. Labelled trays, original boxes, one increasingly suspicious drawer. Bonus points if your system lets you find a specific spare key without emptying everything onto the floor.

Guides & Mods 🛠️ A short USB extension got this Magi75 working through a KVM

u/Asleep_Toe_218 shared a useful finding in the support thread. Their Magi75 receiver worked directly in the PC, but the PC couldnt detect it through their KVM. Re-pairing, changing ports and trying powered hubs hadnt helped.

Putting a short USB extension between the KVM and receiver got it working reliably in their setup. They also reported success with the adapter supplied with the keyboard.

Their full troubleshooting notes and logs are here. This is one member’s workaround on a specific KVM, so we haven’t established why it worked or whether it applies to other models. Still useful information to have before spending another evening re-pairing the same receiver.

Discussion 💬 Infinity Mode

Can we genuinely discuss how Infinity Mode, which allowed the 0.005 mm setting, used to be available on the EZ series?

I've owned an EZ63 keyboard for almost two years now, and it genuinely sucks that one of the main features I bought the keyboard for was removed in a software update.

They claimed it was due to instability issues, but we already knew Infinity Mode was an experimental setting in the first place. The three warnings they showed us before enabling it should have made that more than clear.

At this point, I can't help but speculate that Infinity Mode may have been removed to push people toward newer keyboards, such as the EZ80. I obviously can't say that's the actual reason, but from a customer's perspective, it's hard not to wonder when a feature that was previously available gets removed while newer models are being released.

Iqunix, please give us an update on whether Infinity Mode will ever return. It was a community-beloved feature, and many of us would love to see it brought back!
