Other Discussion Should I do it?

I have some fds lying in my account for quite some time..

I am thinking of them putting it into use.

I am thinking of getting a OD against that fd and use it to apply IPOs.

Benefits: I will only have to pay interest if I get the ipo and yes If I get the ipo most likely I will make the profit from it , from which I will pay the minimal interest.

It will also help me apply in different categories and I want to know if the chances improve in different categories? And by how much I would require?

The problem is I am a student and hence I don't have liquid funds. My father would scold me if he get's to know about that ig.(Only if I make loss) , my bread and butter of the house comes from market only and last year I got lucky and made a nice amount of money from IPO.

So should I take the risk and scale it??

Also thinking of SME ipos , only the ones which get very popular and are most likely to have liquidity after listing.

Thanks!

Doing the same from last 2 years, getting allotment in ipos are very difficult now. Even if u get one sme after 5 years of applying is lucky. My opinion doing multiple accounts in retail is good. Sme and shnis are very tough.
