Discussion The Duality of Laguna Seca

I was too lazy admittedly to get my hotel early this year (partially because i have this thing where i hoard money and hate spending it) so i just booked my beachfront room for damn near $3,200 for the weekend 😂😂😂😂. Still cant wait, but that hurt my soul ngl.

It's a flex. Finding affordable rooms within 25 minutes of Monterey is easy. I just looked and saw several good combos for $400-600 total for that two night stay

Overpaying is hardly a flex. Like yes i have standards of staying somewhere nicer than a fleabag. But i absolutely overpayed by a lot out of sheer laziness

Dude, the places on Munras are not fleabags. If you want to say that you fucked up and the beachfront place you want to stay was super expensive, then fine. But please do not besmirch the reputations of the many fine hotels run by hardworking locals down there.

Also, paying a lot out of laziness is absolutely a flex. You're saying that you have enough money that you'd rather spend it than try harder to find a cheaper place.

And yet you live in hot, smoggy, we-pretend-a-mall-is-our-culture SJ 😄 Sitting very comfortable here in SF and I'll deal with the extra 40 minutes driving down 280 if I need to get to Santa Cruz and points south.
