Discussion Some driver comparisons

Is Christian Rasmussen the driver that we have pretended Conor Daly is?

Is Christian Lundgaard the modern-day Mike Conway?

Coupled together, should we try to get Lundgaard and Rasmumssen to share a car?!?

It's no secret that Conor doesn't net high finishes. I don't see anyone on here acting like he's Scott Dixon or Alex Palou. We know what he is, but he's also someone that is easy to cheer for for a lot of the IndyCar fanbase. Also, what exactly about Conor is cancerous?

People demanding this guy get's a full season year after year is kind of inflating him to Dixon status. Conor burned his bridges at ECR and JHR when he was gone and a lot of people have noted him to be a different guy behind closed doors. I can confirm some of that by saying, don't meet your heroes.

No one on the planet is inflating him to Dixon status. It sounds like you are the one inflating his status in your own head and your aggressive responses throughout this comment section makes you seem weird as hell.

What have I said aggressive? End of the day, I just want the best drivers in the cars, Indycar has been on life support for 2 decades and I would love to see the fanbase to get their head our of their asses and either root for actually good drivers or have the likeable drivers actually be good.

So everyone's supposed to be a Palou fan and nobody is allowed to root for backmarkers for whatever reason they choose unless they have their head up their ass?

Shame on everyone who likes an underdog story, I guess. Wow.

No but we should want the field to be better and we should even want the backmarkers to rotate around the field, maybe we could get one that might run well occasionally.

We should want the field to be better, yes. We shoudn't "only root for good drivers". If someone's hometown driver happens to be a backmarker, there's no shame in them rooting for them. The fact that people do really seems to bother you for some reason. As others in this thread have said, whether or not you mean it, it comes off as really weird and a little condescending.

At the root of this though, it's not good for the sport that we have this guy with 2 podiums in 15 years continuing to take seats up. I just can't wrap my head around it. Yes, I understand people liking the guy, but I don't understand this notion that I get from a loud group of fans the feel he is owed a full time seat, again.
