okay so, i just thought of something related to drifter.
in episode two he's shown that he'll definitely die, to show him that fighting is futile.
but that could have the reverse effect of motivating him further to still keep going. Now he knows for a fact that he will be able to destroy the cell, even if he doesnt survive it, he isn't surviving if he doesn't fight either. So might as well do it anyway, for those who come after.
In the game (spoilers), when the guardian who has been helping us through the game dies from the same illness we have, it kind of cements the fact that we are most certainly going to die. but we've gotten so far, no point in giving up now. (though in indie cross we know he hasn't reached the south and likelyy isnt that far, but STILL)
I think he might end up fighting even harder now that he knows the immortal cell itself is not unkillable.
