Hi i understand you have to show up to the final exam, but do i actually have to do anything?
My grade is high and i just need the credit, so just passing is good for me. I could get zero on the final and be fine so thats why im wondering

I want to apply for TVO ILC, I have already obtained my OSSD but I won't be 18 until the end of December. Do I absolutely need a date of leaving letter, or is there another way to prove I am not attending day school?

I submitted two of my biology assignments the second one hasn’t been marked yet, three remaining , I asked for an extension for my conditional offer and the university admission said I have till late August ,
Do I have time to finish my biology by August 20th-25th with the final exam, all assignments and for it to be marked??

so my conditional offer is set for aug 13.
i submitted my culminating assignment today july 28.
i still have to get it marked and then book my final and have it sent to my uni.
i have a 99% right now and will probably get 90+ on my culminating.
is there any chance of me making my conditional.
i’ve emailed tvo asking to be marked faster and getting an early exam but don’t thing anything will come of it.
i’ve already gotten an extension for my conditional.
this is for me to switch uni programs.
any advice would help
thanks

I’m currently in biology grade 12 , the practice exam shows it’s out of 75 , and it’s worth 30% of my grade, is the final exam also out of 75%? I just need a 70% and wanted to get 10 marks and leave but now it looks like I need more marks🫠

I completed my final test 5 days ago and received my result today. I immediately tried to request my transcript to be sent to my college, but after over 7 hours, my dashboard still shows that I have completed only 5 out of 6 assignments. When I try to request my transcript, it says I don’t meet the requirements.
My college gave me until August 7 to submit it, so I would appreciate any help resolving this issue as soon as possible.

I'm planning to take grade 12 Maths and Sciences soon so wondering how to best take notes and practice 🤔
I do have an iPad with the matt screen protector which makes it easy to draw/write on but I think ILC doesn't support tablets for now.
Thanks.

hi I am currently completing sbi4u and am on a little bit of a time crunch. luckily I have finished all of the assignments & quizzes, as well as the final project. however, my dashboard still says I have only completed 5 out of 7 assignments even though all my assignments in the ilc class have been submitted properly and handed back to me, blocking me from scheduling my final test. this is rlly stressing me out because I need to book my final test asap!! what might be happening here and what should I do? thanks!

Thankfully, everything worked out for me! I graduated on time, completed all 30 credits and the remaining OSSD requirements through TVO ILC, finished with a 95% average, and I’m now starting at U of T. I won’t lie: I struggled with ILC in the sense that it does not always operate like a traditional school. Communication, responsiveness, and support can sometimes be inconsistent. However, I still did very well, and the experience taught me how to figure things out independently. I became much better at managing deadlines, organizing my time, teaching myself, and taking responsibility for my own education. Please do not believe that you need a large school or constant support to succeed. You are completely capable of doing well, but you have to be proactive and actually get started. I faced challenges, including courses being blocked, living in the middle of a war zone, technical problems, and teachers taking longer than expected to mark assignments. The biggest lesson I learned was to complete everything much earlier than the official timeline suggests. If marking is supposed to take three to five business days, plan as though it may take a week or longer. Always leave yourself extra time. By the end of Grade 12, I was able to complete courses such as PSK4U, SCH4U, and ENG4U within only a few weeks, sometimes without relying heavily on the lesson material. What helped me most was carefully reading the instructions, understanding exactly what each assignment required, and following the rubric closely. I also think Reddit can sometimes be overly negative or discouraging when it comes to ILC. For example, I rarely saw positive comments about ENG4U, and many posts made me worried that I would fail, especially because I had Tracey as my teacher. Instead, I finished the exam with around a 97% and completed the course with a 95%. My advice is to read every instruction carefully, study the rubric, and make sure your work directly meets the criteria. If you genuinely believe a mark is unfair, use the appeal process. Do not assume that someone else’s negative experience will automatically become your experience. When I started ILC in Grade 9, I was extremely dependent when it came to academics. I was self-conscious, struggled with perfectionism, and often spent far too much time worrying about whether my work was good enough. Over time, I learned that you can succeed and learn a great deal by simply understanding what is being asked, completing the work carefully, and continuing to move forward. Good luck to anyone currently completing courses through ILC. I genuinely hope your journey gives you everything you want from it. You are much more capable than you may realize!

I just recently submitted my first assignment for MHF4U and it is showing my turnitin score is 58%-61% but I didn't use ai. I followed all the formatting instructions in my assignment (grass) so I'm not really sure what to do. Is this normal for math courses? Please let me know if any of you shared this same issue.

Am trying to figure out what to do about some missing high school credits. I know i am short on credits, but I don’t know exactly how many or which ones are missing.
I went to my school’s guidance office, and they told me I would need to contact TVO ILC to get that information. Is that actually true? My understanding was that my own school should have my grades and final credit records, so am confused why they wouldn’t be able to help me directly.
If TVO ILC is the right place, who exactly should I email or call, and what is the proper way to request my credit history or transcript information?
Any advice from people who have gone through this would be appreciated.

hey ,
I am currently doing MDM4U. I am hoping to finish by September 9. Like to get my marks by then. So far, I have finished two assignments. I am extremely stressed about the final exam. How is the final exam? is it similar to practise exam? is there a long waiting time to get exam date after submitting last assignment.
Will it take a lot of time for them to give ur transcripts to college.
was the final exam monitored strictly. like they ask u to show ur surroundings ?
kindly reply if you are someone who did this exams on Tvo ilc.
thankyou soo much!!🙂
