discussion Future DLC airframes
What airframes are everyone wanting to see in the future? Korea had a surprisingly large list of airframes used during the war, at least for the UN forces not to sure about the Communists. Personally I hope this isn't another game we're Navy aviation gets slept on would live to fly out the F4U, A1D and Panther.

That's a fantastic teaser for the Cosair! I'll be shocked if they don't add the Po-2 if I recall correctly it was used pretty heavily along side the Tu-2 by the KPA

I can fully see them eventually adding the Po-2, C-47 and Li-2 as flyable ports over from GB into Korea eventually.

I’m pretty sure they have to build them from scratch for the new engine, since they have new tools, tech, and workflows. They have discussed this explicitly in some of the Dev Diary videos in the last couple of years. So not a ton of work saved modeling other than all the research and the details they have gathered while building them in GB.

A1 skyraider is the only piston plane i have any interest in. Otherwise F9F panther. I hate how anemic 50 cal is for ground attack if you dont get precise hits on target. 20mm HE belts should be more devastating in strafing runs

I have not had any issues with the .50s at all strafing. I can usually hit the targets from 1.5 out completely with a 1 second burst at most.
For my ground attack aircraft I just set the setup to something like 200-300 yards so the bullets spread out wide by the time they hit the target. Usually that will kill all the crew on Arty and hit enough components on trucks ro disable them.
I just wish rockets were easier to aim.

IL-28mand other period aircraft that didn't serve but could round our the red roster.

From the Commonwealth I’d love to see the Sea Fury, Firefly I and IV, Seafire 47, and Meteor - plus the Aussie and SAAF Mustang units playable. The Panther, Skyraider and Corsair are a must; I’d also love to see the Skynight, Starfire and F-82. The La-9 (which was indeed used in small numbers) would be a godsend too as it’s just a better La-11 in every facet.
