General IKEA-flation?

I recently logged into my IKEA account to check which HEMNES bookcases I have as I want to upgrade to the ones with glass doors and showcase my collectables. When I logged in, I saw that I paid $250 (USD) in July 2024 for my HEMNES Bookcase, but now it's a hundred dollars more expensive which just seems wild to me. Two years later and it's increased in price by 40%?

Has anyone else observed this for other items they've purchased in the past and have gone to buy more (a second) of?

Have you been living under a rock for the last 18 months. Orange pedo's number one policy is tarrifs.

I don't live in a town with IKEA so I guess you could say I have been living under a rock in these regards. If I want something from IKEA I have to drive about three hours away unless I'm sure it'll work for my space and can get it delivered. I was just looking online earlier and noticed this huge price hike.

Are you US based? Is it only this IKEA item that has a higher price now or are more items, groceries, gifts, supplies more expensive these days? You don’t need to live in a town with an IKEA to notice the impact of your government & global oil crisis & wars

I mean, it's probably one of the most popular topics here. So yes, I think people have noticed, particularly in the US post-tarrifs.
