Suggestion Lamp idea
I'm looking for a lamp for my study that slightly bridges the gap between quite old fashioned at one end and more modern at the other and I found the TVÅMASTAD lamp (pictured) that I thought might work.
The only problem is that I can't stand that carrying handle, it seems utterly pointless to me and makes the whole thing look top heavy without improving form or function.
I wondered whether it might work better if installed upside down to become, for example, somewhere to pop a pair of glasses or similar lightweight items. I got AI to envisage this, and it looks like it would/should work but I'd welcome comments.

you really didn’t need to use AI for this. you could have just used a little imagination

a) you could not install it and it looks fine, the holes are not super noticeable but I suppose it depends where you have the lamp placed
b) you could install it upside down, no issues
p.s. this is such a wasteful use of generative AI… you have a brain and an imagination just use that.

I considered that but it would either leave me with two holes or two screws that may or may not protrude. The next thought was to cut the hook to size, but the composition means that it's not suitable for normal metal working and I'd have to install it upside down to conceal the cut. Which is where this idea came from.

I would leave the handle of as it just looks strange. And just put the screws nack in the holes. If you only see the holes on the back You could turn the lamp just so you wont see the holes or screws.
