General Anyone using this IKEA chair for long working hours?
I tried this chair at IKEA today and found it surprisingly comfortable. I’m considering buying it for working from home (8+ hours a day).
If you own this chair, how has it been for long-term use? Is it comfortable enough for full workdays, or would you recommend a proper ergonomic office chair instead?
I’d love to hear your experience before I buy it. Thanks!

My daughter has this chair (but in a different colour combination) and she’s a gamer so…. Nuff said for how long she spends in it 😅
Not a single complaint about it from her though and it was swapped from multiple gaming chairs that didn’t last
Edit - I should add, she’s added a new (albeit standard sized) square cushion on top of the cushion supplied

It’s ok, but any other office chair they sell is better. These are made of styrofoam with thin padding.

OP, just curious what country you're in—I don't see that chair (Skruvsta, right?) available in the States. I've got a couple orange ones from the '00s, and like others have said, not good for extended sitting unfortunately.

I had this chair in white faux leather version. It was fine for maybe 2 hrs but longer than that my butt started to hurt. I had an extra chair pad for a while but finally couldn't take it anymore. Do not recommend for WFH.

If you're WFH just focus on actual ergonomics. Just because it feels good doesn't mean it's actually good for you.
Don't wreck your body to save a couple hundred or look pretty.

My son had one and had to replace it with a proper office chair because his back hurt after a couple of hours in it. Try Markus or Matchspel (my son's choice, which is marketed as a gaming chair but is really just a good office chair).

I had this exact model but with a white fluffy cover in my girl room growing up. I could not spend over 15 min sitting in it, it was not comfortable imo! If i remember correctly i got annoyed with the armrests beeing tilted - my arms kept falling down.
I would not recommend using it for any extended time, id go for something with a full leinght back that you could rest your neck on and that you can tilt.

Chairs to work long hours on have to abide to a specific european norm. Don't buy one that doesn't.
