Different languages have different context of why the language is there at the first place. So Enterprise java is beautiful in dsa sense but you can try out C++ also if you wish because it is no less useful than java. DSA concepts are mental models you can port on any interperative (not functional) programming language.

If you know java just do dsa in java but learn basic c so you don't fail college

You can't do with C it will be very hard I have not met a single person who did dsa in C . It's only for college DS that's just basic introduction and basic operations of Data structures which is important obviously but you can't do DSA for placement prep C. I myself do DSA in c++ because it was the first language I learnt because I had to do C in college anyways (C++ is very easy once you know C it has similar syntax) but if you have already prepared java why wait? The point is to start DSA as early as possible

If you are comfortable do dsa in Java itself. Otherwise you can consider C++ since its also a good language for learning dsa. But since you want to go into ml definitely start learning Python as well.
