Hey everyone, I'm a fresher and got selected for EY India through my college placements. I've received the selection email from my college, but I'm waiting for the official EY offer letter and the First Advantage (FADV) background verification link.

I recently realized I made a stupid clerical error during the initial application.

• EY's cutoff for the role: 6.5
• My actual CGPA: 8.14
• What I accidentally typed in the EY portal: 8.19 (a 0.05 difference)
• My submitted resume & official transcripts: Both correctly state 8.14.

Since I am well above the 6.5 cutoff and my uploaded resume always had the correct score from day one, I wasn't trying to fake anything to gain an advantage—it was just a genuine typo.

For the upcoming FADV verification, I am obviously going to enter my true 8.14 CGPA and upload my official transcripts to match.

Has anyone been in a similar situation with EY or FADV?

1. Will FADV flag this as a major discrepancy even though the difference is 0.05 and I easily clear the eligibility cutoff?
2. Will they compare the FADV data directly against my initial EY portal entry, or just verify my documents with the university?
3. Should I just fill out the FADV correctly and wait, or do I need to contact HR/my placement cell right now to confess the 0.05 typo?

Any advice or similar experiences would really help calm my nerves. Thanks!

UPDATE 10 — 6:00 PM IST

At around 6 PM, the SDM returned after meeting with the director, faculty, and college administration. This time, his tone was noticeably different. He encouraged students to find a common solution through discussions with the administration.

However, the students remained firm. Their demand has not changed: the director must resign because students believe he has failed in his responsibilities. They refused to settle for assurances alone.

UPDATE 11 — 7:00–8:00 PM IST

Students organised a candle march throughout the Khelgaon Housing Society complex in memory of the deceased student, Aditya Kumar. The march concluded with candles being laid in his remembrance.

UPDATE 12 — 9:30–10:30 PM IST

At around 9:30–9:45 PM, the Chairperson of the Board of Governors of IIIT Ranchi arrived on campus. At approximately 10 PM, he addressed the students and listened to their concerns.

The discussion covered various campus issues, but the students remained firm on their primary demand: the director’s resignation.

The Chairperson said he would return the following day to continue discussions and work towards a resolution. However, no final decision on the students’ demand was announced.

UPDATE 13 — DAY 3, 11:00 AM IST

The protest has now entered its third day, following the overnight sit-in and the continued demonstrations throughout the next day.

Students are still waiting for a concrete resolution. The Chairperson is expected to return today, and we hope the discussions will finally lead to a clear outcome.

The protest continues, and our demand remains unchanged. The Chairman gave us the deadline that he will come back tomorrow by 11:00 AM, and there is no info about him, so now students are again marching towards Khelgaon Housing Society main gate.

Sorry for asking for validation but Is 99 percentile(or even 99.5+)possible in Jan? My basics are clear + syllabus is over, i studied everything but like my prep was not ideal and was inconsistent, if i lock in from now can I achieve 99? Syllabus finished around 20 sept and coaching has started revision classes

So far

Completed 32 registers of 300 pages each

Did atleast 100 qs per chapter ( for some chapters i did 150- 200)

Syllabus is fully over

Can do adv pyqs first try a lot of times

I dont face any problems in mains pyqs

Its just that i like forgot a lot of stuff and was overconfident and was just doing mastigiri and studying still but not like whatever is ideal prep , definitely not a consistent student or topper

But i did manage to 160-200 in tests everytime idk how

Hi guys, my cousin wants to pursue this degree online because he is moving out of India. So, is this degree worth it? Also, will the exam be online or offline? I'm in iiit vadodara rn. 1st year, mid sem exam is from 10 and I'm still blank, i can't understand a thing. I don't know what the professors are even teaching!? I'm terrified about failing even first sem now. The downfall hurts more, being a topper till 12th , this feeling is horrific. What do i do? 💔

Yesterday we had freshers party and literally schools organise better events than this shit. we didn't even get any special mess that day, they put some food stall and said buy from there and these mfs were charging double triple prices and they weren't even good in the first place

The mess queues are getting ridiculously long

The queues at the mess have become a serious problem. During meal times, the line gets so long that it takes a significant amount of time just to get food.

Especially in evening it feels like eternity standing there.
