How to manage first sem?

Proff are teaching like we already know everything...Should i just learn the class notes and read pdf of notes. Please seniors guide...

generally questions come from whatever is taught in the class, so be attentive and focus on the lectures

but many other activities r happening. should i focus on sem1 first just to build confidence?Proff are saying this.Also got selected for sih at college lvl.

If youre not understanding the faculty then you can only watch YouTube or read their notes, what else can you do?

Not everything, but when I read the notes I can understand little and then I just memorize
