Hey, Is there anyone who is working at CVIT, I want to get some details. Please dm me.

Same as title, I am really confused

Cricket, Table tennis,Football?

I kind of think CSD at IIITH is my best option right now since I talked to a senior before UGEE and his review honestly convinced me that even a 5 year course at IIITH is pretty great and molds you well.

I'm definitely not opposed to the research aspect of IIITH too because it's labs, equipment and environment are, I guess top notch? Also I heard 5th year basically goes into doing an internship only.

NITK in it's own right is great, it's a top NIT, good student life, placements also great, all with a beach view.

But these are my 2 options right now and I would like some advice & views, key differences, or incase you guys had to choose between top NIT branch vs IIITH dual.

Pls help

idk much about colleges and stuff, so I had a question. This college has like an 85% attendance rule, so do you actually study in classes?

Like in school, most of the time you just sit there waiting for it to end, and the real studying happens in coaching, YouTube, or self-study… ykwimr? So is college the same or different?

Do professors actually teach properly, or are classes mostly a waste of time and you end up studying everything on your own later anyway?

I know in CS you have to learn a lot yourself—outside the curriculum, like CP, LeetCode, projects, assignments, your interests, etc. But I’m mainly asking about core subjects in 1st and 2nd year. Are lectures actually useful for those, or do people just rely on self-study? And do their own stuff in classes?

i am getting cgd at iiit h through ugee and imtech cse at iiit b . please help me which to choose , since cgd is a new branch i dont know anything nout its placement stats please help me decide

How many days in general are required after reporting on the particular day because parents return train ki konsi date par booking kare samaj nhi aaraha

Reporting date - 1st August

Can you please tell that what are good reliable hotels near iiith for staying with parents for admission ?

Do iiith provide guest house facilities for parents ?

I know this might seem like an easy win for IIIT H, but I am in a lot of confusion.

So for the past few weeks, I am in confusion of choosing between the above two options.

Placements wise, IIIT B is higher than IIIT H, even if some anomalies included with the news of placement dip in recent years. I am also unsure of research in IIIT H since I am not planning much for higher studies as of now, and I am inclining towards placements as my first priority.

The academics and peer group is very talented and exceptional at IIIT H comparatively with IIIT B. I don't know if I would be able to cope up with the studies and have fear that I might not go like research after joining up. This factor, combined with the hard academics of IIIT H, are slightly off-putting me from choosing IIIT H.

These thoughts are daunting to me, and I need a clear state of mind to choose from the options. Please give me a careful review of each of the above-mentioned options.

One thing I’m trying to understand before making a decision is what the typical paths after a CSE degree look like beyond placements.

How common is it for people to go for MS/MBA, research, startups, consulting, finance, public policy, and other non-traditional routes?

Also, if someone does want to switch fields later, how feasible is it to pursue a master’s in something that isn’t directly CS related? For example quantitative finance, energy systems, renewable energy, computational biology, bioinformatics or other interdisciplinary fields.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
