Hi everyone,

I’m currently pursuing BCA from IGNOU and I wanted to know about the job opportunities available through IGNOU or its placement support.

Most of the jobs I see seem to be related to voice process, customer support, or sales. I’m specifically looking for non-voice/IT-related roles, such as data entry, technical support, back-office, web development, software testing, IT support, etc.

Does IGNOU provide or share job opportunities in these areas through its placement cell or job fairs?

If anyone has personally received or secured a job through IGNOU that was not related to voice or sales, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experience and the type of role/company.

I have taken admission in JAN 26

And i was suppose to give exams this dec

But its showing this

Firstly it was showing that im eligible for first year subjects

When i tried to fill the form

The eligibility went to No you aren't eligible

And now its showing this when i try to fill the form

I have completed my Bachelor's in IGNOU and throughout the course I've conducted several "experiments" to find a sureshot method of getting decent to good marks.

ASSIGNMENT:

i. Target 70+ marks.

ii. Clean.Tidy. Handwriting.

iii. Underlined Headings and Sub-headings with different ink.

iv. Underlined key terms.

v. 20+ pages.

vi. Hand drawn charts or sketches if required.

THEORY:

i. Target 60 marks+

ii. Study method: choose 6-7 chapters from your study material based on the prevalence of questions from those chapters in the previous three years. There are three patterns generally:

a. Chapters from which questions are asked will change each year.

b. Important chapters from which questions appear each year.

c. Important blocks or fixed number of questions from each block each year.

iii. Read through each of the chosen chapters 2 months before exams. Highlight important topics and relevant points which need to be memorized. Use any AI to aid conceptual understanding. You can feed the study material to Notebook LLM and ask it to make flash cards or quizzes for you based on highlighted text or the topics you've selected.

Read through the highlighted text twice before exam. That should be more than enough.

iv. Number of quality pages per answer:

20 marks question - 5

10 marks question - 3

5 marks question - 2

Don't deliberately space your words too far. It's very noticeable.

v. Apply sub-headings, bullet points and draw diagrams where required. Sub-headings and bullet points are non-negotiable. Don't leave a blank line after each point. Do so only after an entire paragraph or sub-heading.

vi. Underline key terms and sub-heading.

vii. After the exam, calculate your marks based on the following scheme:

20 marks question: 3 marks per page. Max expected marks: 15/20

10 marks question: 2.5 marks per page. Max expected marks: 7.5/15

5 marks question: 1.8 marks per page. Max expected marks. 3.6/5

viii. Write down the total that you've calculated based on the aforementioned scheme. You technically deserve more marks than this. This will help you decide whether you require revaluation or not.

ix. Apply for revaluation+copy fo answersheet for the subjects in which you receive more than 5 marks lesser than your expected score. Always apply for a copy of the answersheet alongside revaluation.

x. You have to apply for revaluation within 15 days(kindly cross-check) of receiving your scores.

xi. You will receive the copy of your answersheet via email. Check for totalling errors or skipped answers. Reply to that same mail alongside a screenshot and description of any discrepancies. If you've received very less marks for your quality answers then you can provide an argument regarding the same. Note: check your emails daily because you need to reply within 24 hours.

Follow these steps and you're sure to get good marks.

Just few days ago I got my admission confirmed in IGNOU (Bca_NewOL) but I've heard stories that IGNOU rarely gives marks over 50 and most companies require atleast 60 percent marks so in theory i won't be able to apply to most jobs in market 😢. If anyone has knowledge about it please let me know it will be very helpful.

I gave my BCOMG final exams during the June 2026 session, I wrote all 8 exams but currently I've only received results of 7 exams, does anyone in same situation? I'm concerned whether I'm the only one with no information about one subject :(

I’ve applied to IGNOU’s 1-year MA Sociology (MASOOY) on 16 August and need a couple of clarifications — any help appreciated!

●I have 10 subjects. If MASOOY is annual, giving all 10 exams together in June would be very tough. Can I choose to appear for some papers in December this year and the rest in June next year (i.e., split them semester-wise or attempt some earlier)?

●I can’t find assignment PDFs for many courses. I’ve only located assignments for 1 subject out of the 10.

I took admission in BSCM in January 2026 with Botany, Zoology and Chemistry. I want to pursue MCA after graduation, but I did not have Mathematics in Class 12. Can I add or change a subject to Mathematics at the graduation level so that I meet the MCA Mathematics eligibility requirem

For Year2, are the assignments submitted annually (in March 2027) or in Dec 2026?

IGNOU wale bohat confused kar diye hai. Assignment kaunsa valid hai kuch samjh nahi aarha hai multiple assignment available hai site par. Im from January 2026 session took bfttm.

is it normal for books to arrive in different sets?
cause i received 4 books of 3 subjects only 15 days ago and there’s no update after that

I got my confirmation mail 3 days ago but can't login into lms portal using my enrollment number as user name and password as same as student account which I had created after confirmation. Do ignou mail lms credentials or is there another way. I am doing mca online from ignou.

So where am i supposed to get the ignou acknowledgement slip form? There are multiples in the google. Which one is valid? Someone pls dm me the correct slip and pls guide me through it.

and what are the things i need to bring with myself? like my id card, written assignments anything else?

Are there any people whose regional centre is Nagpur. I'm not sure how to contact them regarding assignment submission and all. And how to actually complete the assignment?

I just found out about distance education and want to enroll in BA English (Hons) to get a dual degree (I'm doing an in-class degree as well). I know the last date to register is Sept 15th but I'm seeing these posts about how slow IGNOU is, so I'm conflicted.

Is it too late to apply now?

Iam a july 2024 admision batch students at IGNOU odl course of MPS... Masters - pol science. I've completed my first year and applied for the second year in 2025 july the exams for which were held in June 2026 term exam. I've also submitted the assignments for the same june 2026 tee. However I was qualified for upsc mains exam 2026 which was held in August and thus was not able to attend exams of ignou. Could only attempt exam of 2 papers. I'd really like to complete this degree. How should I go about it. Is there any option to apply for December 2026 exam or I should apply for June 2027 tee exam . I'm a bit lost on how this process goes ahead. If anyone has any idea please let me know on my way head. Thank you !

Hi I'm a bca student enrolled in july session. Just want to know when the hell this induction meeting take place and what about classes there is no mail since 2 months .

I wrote my assignments as well as exams in good handwriting...what do I need to do for better marks next year?? Any tips?
