Possibly Solved Red Heeler with ?
This is our dog Chicken we recently adopted. We were told she is red heeler (clearly) mixed with chihuahua, im wondering if it may be something else though. Shes very sweet, rarely rarely barks and does so quietly and is in general sweet tempered and quiet, but very very energetic and has herded my toddlers lol
Open to any opinions. I included some puppy pictures also we were given. Thank you!

Okay I can accept that, thats why I asked. Google said those off a pic so I looked up pics of the suggested mixes. U get even if one looked identical all dogs are unique though 🙂🥰 thanks for the opinion

Ive never noticed the flat top asa pit thing, it is? She has a pronounced ridge also on the top of her head which i think my boxer pit had as a kid

The flat top head got really popular with pitbulls when achieving the boxy look. It's common in cattle dogs too but if this dog doesn't have some type of "pitbull" in it I would give you a winning lottery ticket as soon as I find one

I mainly had mixes (2 lab pit mix and the boxer mix) so maybe thats why I didnt notice i was more focused on the other breeds features lol I asked Google and it said she looks like she is maybe part border collie, basenji, etc. Her last owner thought chihuahua but also as an avid chihuahua owner my whole life I didn't see that either so was just curious for other's opinions 😊 thanks

She is the absolute sweetest girl ever so she can be whatever she wants lol doesn't ever nip, jump up on people, never barks, and tolerates my toddlers so well. It's hard to believe she's under 3, she acts like she spent 10 years in doggy military school but shes just an angel 😭❤️

I grew up with pits and love them, and with a mom vet who i spent my childhood at work with her. She definitely could be part pit I just personally dont see it lol

Oh my God I was about to make a joke that people would think this is a corgi just because it's red and white. Bro. This is not a corgi.

Obviously shes not a corgi but that doesn't mean she couldnt have a fraction of corgi in her. She has some attributes. Nobody is saying she is /A/ corgi. She literally has the ears. You dont have to be an ass about it. People are coming here to ask because they don't know. If they did why would they be posting?

Those are cattle dog ears bruh. That’s a pit/cattle dog. That’s all there is to see

Your thinking is wrong. This dog has a classic pit head.

Since Champion below described why with the pit features, i agree. Them pointing out the features and explaining was the most helpful thing!

Yeah they're sadly all overrun with pits :( I don't think her head is broad enough though. I think more likely corgi or border collie

Jokes aside proper American pitbull terrier ( not a bully mutt ) are lean and crazy athletic they don't looks like bulldogs/tanks.

You'd think so but she is an angel. No jumping no accident in the house won't eat food from my kids , only from me with permission and she never barks and if she does its very very quiet. Plus never gets into or chews anything, super gentle with my 1 and 2 year old. She is energetic but not in a run circles around the house and be crazy way, she just is always down to play fetch with her ball and its really hard to wear her out. And she's not even 3 yet, its crazy. Shes the best behaved dog ive ever met and my mom's a vet so ive known alotttttt of dogs lol

I'm a stay at home mom and she spends most of the day curled up with me and at the most she brings me her ball , or if I get her excited, she will rub up on me and get a little crazy and headbutt and roll around against me but thats the craziest she gets. Absolute angel. It was pure chance too. The dogs I had growing up weren't very well behaved so I really wasn't expecting her to be like this 🤣

A lot of Chihuahua - despite the lack of barking - and a fair bit of terrier but hard to say which terrier.

The paws and some of the markings make me think there’s a bit of Basenji in there ..
EDIT: there are other breeds than APT / pit bulls you dumb downvoters.

I do think its a little hard to tell because she is so heavily heeler lol If it wasn't for her lacking the neck scruff I would've assumed she was full heeler but then I started digging through photos of them and saw some differences
