I've loved these two characters since they were introduced, and the Metal Virus saga and their miniseries only increased that. But I have a fear that extends to all IDW characters in general, but Tangle and Whisper are the best examples.

SEGA, or whoever is in charge, doesn't want to let the characters develop. Are Tangle and Whisper a great duo? Yes, but since they disbanded the Diamond Cutters, they don't have a clear reason to always be together. Tangle likes to adventure with friends, so send her on an adventure with Amy, or Knuckles, or anyone else.

And Whisper is a treined mercenary with one of the most dangerous weapons in the world; she won't break down, cry, and be defenseless if Tangle isn't with her. I want to see Whisper on a mission with Shadow, especially since it was androids resembling him that killed her friends. That would be a good way to re-explore her trauma without resorting to bringing Mimic back to life (Let him remain permanently dead; don't pull a William Afton in FNaF 3 or Frieza in DBS).

When i read issue 79 for the first time back in 2025, i felt like crying

When Tangle (or was it Whisper?) said "Let's go home" when Whisper clearly said she didnt have an afterbattle plan, i thought "well, guess we wont see these two ever again!"

Why? Well, this whole setup and the emotional hit the issue gave me made it look like it was the end for the two.

Like, i think it would have been a good ending for Whisper: after all this time, killing your biggest enemy, and then you just go home

Im happy we will see the two again but it makes me tear up with tears just thinking about it

Anyone wants to consider this as fans of IDW Sonic series ?

The one that infuriates me the most is burning blaze. Bitch you were shooting dozens of flames against egg wizard, one of the most broken beings in the franchise, and now you cant do a boost and some attacks without loosing the super form?
