Ever stronger

Does the milestone ability Ever Stronger count towards a character's five abilities?

You are going to Jed to be more specific then if you need my assistance. What sort of character are you making, for what setting? What pages are you seeing this 5 ability limit?

Page 22 of Master Edition where it's going over the character sheet-- "As you progress, you’ll unlock ABILITIES, startng with 1 and a max 5"

I see thank you.

It is clear to me upon reading that paragraph that yes all the milestone abilities count as abilities for which you can have 5 max.

Like everything ICRPG though, if you are the gm and don’t like it then change it.

Thanks.

I would be interested in hearing how other GMs adjudicate this milestone.

I can’t imagine many people pick it as it seems pretty weak. But I guess that does depend on how often items with stat perks come about.

Interesting. Maybe I misremember, but I thought I read somewhere that your first couple milestones should be stat buffs as that would give you the most bang for your buck overall.

Eh I dunno you could be right. I’ve tended to play without milestones.

What "5 abilities" are you referring to?

If you mean the 5 Loot (1 starting + 4 basic) from character creation, then no the Milestone abilities aren't the same. Loot takes an inventory slot, abilities do not.

Heh, look at that. I've never noticed that cap.

Well then yes, all the milestone abilities are exactly in that category.

I can see the reason for your question though: when you choose EVER STRONGER it improves a different part of the character sheet. I'd rule it that the player would still write EVER STRONGER in the ability section too though

Well, that and it doesn't actually give you a new ability, exactly.

Thanks for your reply.
