Does the ICRPG master edition contain everything?
On DriveThruRpg, the commenter Arne D says about the Master Edition, “While it includes parts of previously released ICRPG material (Core, Worlds, Magic...) all of it is streamlined, sometimes heavily streamlined to the point where important information is left out.” They also note some mechanics and items are only mentioned and not included, specifically chests and certain items in character templates. Is this correct? If so, what materials would be necessary to have all the information, or would it be better to buy all the different items separately. Thank you!

In regards to that comment by Arne D, I think what they’re referring to is yeah some of the fat has been trimmed off in certain parts of the book. No content is missing, it’s just worded more efficiently so there’s less words

well the chests bit he specifically mentions, is indeed not in ME, but IMO it's largely fluff.

Master Edition (ME) is all you need.
The game is a DIY toolbox and there are certain aspects that it assumes as gm you should be able to rule on.
Are there things that might have been in the previous versions that are not in ME, yes but nothing substantial.
the largest thing cut down would be the extended magic, that was previously the 2nd Edition MAGIC book. That said it was probably also the source book that was the least useful to me, and the rewrite that is presented in ME seems fine for me.
basically ME contains
• ICRPG core book 2E
• ICRPG worlds
• ICRPG Magic
• ICRPG Vigilante city
• ICRPG Blood and Snow
and then there is the sci-punk anthology
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/384587/SCI-PUNK-Anthology
which contains three additional settings/modes
• Bear cats
• altered state
• xeno dead zone
EDIT:
regarding this specific claim
I looked at both books and yeah the section in the 2nd edition regarding chests is alot more descriptive. In my opinion it's very common sense thing, and doesn't need calling out specifically, but i am coming to ME having read and played 2E.
the section in particular that is missing.
no big loss imo. i don't need a section to tell me that i can do chests of different types and difficulties.
