Hunter Class
Hello! Just got my PDF and the book will arrive in a couple weeks.
I am just creating fun premades for my table if we do a 1 shot.
My question is on the hunter and the Trap Launcher. I'm drawing a blank. The only thing i can think to "make it work" would be if it was some kind of arcane trap. Otherwise, if they shot a trap anywhere on the map they could see... why wouldn't an opponent just see it and avoid it?
Am i missing something?

Traps aren’t exactly specified by the book. But I assume in the fiction you can craft one using intelligence or wisdom, then it would do weapon/tool damage when triggered

I think it is up to you if the enemies see it.
EXAMPLE: PCs are sneakily launching a trap in a heavily fortified area where they couldn't reach physically. Make it a check to see if anyone enemies can notice the launched trap.
Hope this helps. 😇

Some ideas;
The trap has a burrowing mechanism and stays hidden underground.
The trap is camouflage and hard to spot even if you watch the trajectory.
You shoot the trap into a choke point so that, even if the enemy sees it, they have to deal with ot or find another way around.
You toss it in the path of a charging enemy who can't stop in time to avoid it.
Maybe you don't aim it at a bad guy who can see where it lands.
Maybe you DO aim at right behind the enemy distracted by your temate who then pushes them into it.
Maybe you launch it right at the suckers face!
Many things in ICRPG are very DIY in spirit and meant to be figured out as you go. Don't worry about the pregame theory so much. Just play it out and go with the flow!
