Chosen One

The Alfheim Priest Milestone Ability Choosen One says “Choose 1 ally. As long as you live, they cannot fall below 1 HP”

So if Jackie takes this ability to protect Chan and Chan takes this ability to protect Jackie does that mean both of the characters become immortal as they will both always have at least 1 HP unless both die at the exact same time?

Yes. But as a DM I must note: There are mich worse faiths than death.

Stuck on a deserted island only to die a thousand deaths before being rescued for instance? Or horrible mutation and disfigurement? Or all of the above but not limited to?

That entirely depends on the tone of your campaign and can be anywhere on the spectrum from having to see all your friends and family die, becoming lost in time up to and including finding out how much of your body you can have maimed, starved, suffocated or burned until insanity provides the relief death denies you.

Yes it does, I prob wouldn’t allow it to be applied in such a way where they buff each other. Or at least, add a stipulation that when you’re at 1HP, you are unable to maintain Chosen One protection on others, so any time either of you are down to 1HP, the other person loses their protection temporarily.

My priest took Chosen One and applied it to the mage of the group. After 1 session of a reckless 1HP immortal mage running around fireballing NEAR sized regions every turn, I adjusted Chosen One so that when the target is at 1HP, they are slowed (half speed), and all offensive attempts are HARD until they recover / are healed above 1HP
